But the leather jacket would not be contained just as a simple tool of convenience as people soon latched onto the coolness of this particular fashion item and what could be more cool than the image of a young rebellious figure on a motorcycle, and such was born the biker jacket. Many companies then continued the tradition by producing their own versions of biker jackets and this is probably when, with the help of cinema, the biker jacket found its foothold firmly within the psyche of a public always looking for new fashion ideas.
